CHELSEA N. ROBY
EDUCATION
CHELSEA ROBY earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Social Justice and Criminology from Delta State University, graduating with honors. She then attended Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, and received a Certificate in Law, Technology, and Entrepreneurship. During law school, she served on the Journal of Public Interest Law and as an executive board member of the Lambda Law Alliance. She also gained valuable experience as a judicial intern for the Honorable Justice Sarah Beth Landau of the Court of Appeals for the First District of Texas and as a legal intern with the Voice of the Experienced (V.O.T.E.), where she supported policy initiatives during the Louisiana Legislative Session.
BACKGROUND
Ms. Roby has focused the majority of her practice on defending employers and insurance carriers in matters arising under the Defense Base Act and Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act. Through this work, she has developed substantial litigation experience and a strong understanding of the unique challenges these claims present. She now applies that experience at Samuelsen, Gonzalez, Valenzuela & Brown where she continues to represent employers and insurance carriers in DBA and Longshore matters.
Ms. Roby lives in New Orleans, Louisiana. Outside of her practice, she enjoys exploring the city’s food and culture, spending time with her dog, unwinding with video games, and getting lost in a good book.
